Curriculum

8 sessions, one build in each

3 modules · 8 sessions · 4 hands-on projects

PART 1AI Chatbots for RMG Workplace ProductivitySessions 1–3

Chatbot Landscape & Tool Selection

  • Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and DeepSeek — strengths for RMG work
  • Free vs paid tiers; a workflow needing no international payment card
  • Bangla vs English output quality; when to draft in English and translate

Prompt Engineering Fundamentals

  • What a prompt is; why the same question gives different answers
  • The four-part structure: role, context, task, output format
  • Role prompting — act as a merchandiser, IE engineer or compliance officer
  • Controlling output: length, tone, language, table or bullet format

Advanced Prompting Techniques

  • Few-shot prompting: teaching the model with examples of your own work
  • Step-by-step reasoning for multi-part tasks such as costing checks
  • Constraint prompting: what to include, exclude and never assume
  • Chained prompts — breaking a big task into a sequence of smaller ones

Iteration & Prompt Library Building

  • Why the second prompt matters more than the first
  • Diagnosing a bad output: vague instruction, missing context or wrong tool
  • Building reusable prompt templates for repeated RMG tasks
  • Testing a prompt before it goes into daily use

Data Privacy & Verification Discipline (Core)

  • What must never be pasted: buyer prices, costing, LC terms, wage data, worker NID
  • Anonymising data before prompting; safe vs unsafe RMG use cases
  • Hallucination awareness; verifying every figure, date and legal reference
DELIVERABLEa personal prompt library of 10 templates for your department
PART 2Data Analysis with Excel & Google SheetsSessions 4–5
PART 3Applied Projects — AI Assistants & AutomationSessions 6–8
Applied projects

Four automations, running in your organisation

01Session 6

  1. INHandbook, buyer COC & SOPs
  2. AIGrounded Gemini assistant
  3. OUTAnswer with the section cited
Built with Google AI Studio
02Session 6

Compliance & Expiry Alerts

Fire licence, boiler certificate, buyer audit, insurance and calibration dates checked daily, with alerts 30, 15 and 7 days ahead.

Built with Make · Sheets · Gmail
03Session 7

CV Screening Assistant

CVs uploaded through a form become structured rows scored against the job description; AI sorts, humans decide.

Built with Gemini API · Make · Drive
04Session 8

Document Extraction Pipeline

  1. INInvoices & packing lists
  2. AIGemini structured extraction
  3. OUTRows and flags in your sheet
Built with Gemini API · Make · Drive

Capstone presentation

Each person presents one automation built for their own workplace.

Day 3 afternoon
Applied across every session

Responsible & Ethical AI in RMG

Fairness & Non-Discrimination

  • Where bias enters: job-ad wording, screening criteria, past hiring patterns
  • Proxy discrimination — university, address, age and gender inferred indirectly

Transparency & Worker / Candidate Rights

  • Telling people when AI is used, and what it is used for
  • Explainability: stating the reason for a decision without pointing at a tool

Privacy & Data Protection

  • Data minimisation — collecting only what the decision requires
  • Retention and deletion of applicant, worker and buyer data

Accountability & Human Oversight

  • Human-in-the-loop by design: AI recommends, a named person decides
  • Who owns an AI-assisted decision when it is challenged

Building Your AI Use Policy

  • Approved tools, acceptable use and prohibited data categories
  • Disclosure rules: when AI involvement must be stated in a document

Workforce Impact & Honest Communication

  • Talking to staff about AI without triggering job-loss fear
  • Reskilling and role redesign as AI absorbs routine work
Outcomes

By the end, your team can

  • Choose the right AI tool and write prompts that work first time
  • Maintain a prompt library covering your repeated RMG tasks
  • Handle buyer email and meetings end to end with AI support
  • Clean factory data and build a management dashboard
  • Produce decks, graphics and training video without a design team
  • Apply fairness, transparency and privacy to every AI-assisted decision
